Refuge: This is short-term crisis accommodation accompanied by a range of supports available on site.  The refuge provides self contained apartments which are fully furnished.  There is a large secure garden which allows children to play outdoors once they are supervised by their mothers or the childcare worker.

The refuge accommodation gives a woman a safe space to consider her options about her future and the future of her children.  Staff will ensure you (the woman) has adequate clothes, food, etc and ensure you are linked with the relevant agencies in relation to finances, children, safety, legal services and housing.

The length of stay in the refuge is determined by individual circumstances.  Support continues to be available to both women and children after they leave the refuge.

Support & Information: All women who access Cuan Saor are given a space on a one to one basis with a worker to talk through her situation and to examine her options. This service is available to women who are resident in the refuge or are dropping into the day service.
